After serving Toronto since 2001, Dr. Pat Nardini has moved on and is now practicing as a naturopathic doctor in Belleville Ontario. Click the link to visit his new clinic website.
But if you’re looking for naturopathic care in Toronto, Dr. Nardini has left his practice to Dr. JJ Dugoua and Dr. Lindsey Campbell, two naturopathic doctors in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.
Their experience, areas of special interest, and clinic location was determined to be the best replacement for all patient care.
Dr. Jean-Jacques Dugoua, HBSc ND PhD, better known as Dr. JJ, is a naturopathic doctor, clinical pharmacologist, public speaker, and researcher.
Because of his doctorate degree in pharmaceutical sciences, Dr. JJ has the unique distinction of being one of the few naturopathic doctors to practice in a hospital in Canada. This gives him a unique perspective into the world of both naturopathic medicine and traditional western medicine.
As part of Dr. JJ’s PhD research, he investigated the safety of natural products during pregnancy and lactation at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto and conducted a clinical trial on the effects of cinnamon on type 2 diabetes at Toronto Western Hospital and at the Centre Hospitaler de Sherbrooke. Aside from that, he has also worked with the Motherisk program at Sick Kids Hospital as a researcher, and was an assistant professor with the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto.
“I practice science-based medicine,” says Dr. JJ, “rely on holistic wisdom from the past, and use natural treatments for disease.” Combining a wide range of modalities, including naturopathic medicine, homeopathy, clinical nutrition, mesotherapy, evidence-based medicine, detoxification, and intravenous therapies, Dr. JJ has worked with a wide variety of conditions and patients.
If you’re suffering from chronic diseases like diabetes, arthritis, cancer, chronic fatigue or pain, fibromyalgia, gastrointestinal disorders, HIV, AIDS, heart disease, or infertility, Dr. JJ may be able to help. His goal in providing treatment plans is to focus on preventative care, offering health and lifestyle strategies to optimize your health.
“Four heads are better than one,” says Dr. JJ of his work at the Liberty Clinic’s team of multi-disciplinary health professionals. “My patients see results and they know the whole team is looking out for their health from head to toe.” Dr. JJ will work closely with your medical doctor, chiropractor, nutritionist, or any other health professional you have on your team.
